This is Uma who will jump and land with the pool toy in her mouth, meaning she does not swim over to it, she lands exactly on it so her mouth hits the toy..she is one of my strongest swimmers

Romy brings over a freshly made wooden pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms. I am trying figure out with only one oven mitt on if she was burning her self on the pizza pan, you can see Chance and Leila in the background in Place and at her feet out of view is Rex in a downstay

We actually have to knock out Roca 2 times a year, to groom and administer meds to him. Unfortunately this is the only way to safely get a muzzle on him and handle him. He was out for about 30 minutes before he came to.

Pitbulls and 4 year olds, of course.

Today was a great day for free time, most dogs get the day off from training, sundays are play days for most dogs, they get to run and play all over the property, they can play in pool or the play yard, they can lay down on in the sun and catch some rays and think about the last week at Board and Train training camp.

Remy is waiting for Uma to drop the pool toy so Remy can grab it, ummmm...Remy you are better looking in the sky for a pig to fly by since that will most likely happen sooner

[[posterous-content:pid___5]]

[[posterous-content:pid___1]][[posterous-content:pid___8]][[posterous-content:pid___9]]Romy and Remy played in the pool area, Remy would through in the pool ring and Remy would jump in and bring it back to her

Stella is working on not every touching the toys that the kids are tormenting her with, these toys were left with Stella from her family and they are items that get chewed up around the house, so we are teaching her to never touch them.

[[posterous-content:pid___4]]What kind of chores do you kids have to do? Well at the Gellman household Romy and Clover fill up the rat traps with peanut butter, after dumping out the dead rats, don't be misled by Romy's facial expression, she is smiling on the inside

you can see Stella in the bottom left corner not attacking the baby chicks..

Don't be afraid of ghosts

A great little video of Leila, doing a downstay with distractions. Anything going around the back 180 of a dog while the dog is in a down/stay is a distraction, so the act of me walking around the dog with a metal walker, sliding my legs and then having the metal walker go over the dog and then myself and the walker go over Leila is huge, she has been with us for less than a week and we are making some wonderful progress with her.

Mikey is doing a great job with the baby chick distraction training, the great thing about the chicks is that they are going to grow up around dogs and always feel safe around them

Everyone has time to train dogs, I always have dogs in a down/stay or Place while I am eating meals, this is a quick lunch/newspaper break and Mikey and Jack are in a downstay

Dogs eat baby chickens

The chicks are 3 days old so we started doing distraction training with the dogs using the chicks as nice distractions

Clover and Romy help disenfect the patio area that my pack lives on, this area is between the house and the pool, is covered by a 12 X 30 foot room and has a 10 X 15 foot 4 season room that the dogs can either cool off or warm up in depending on the season

Hot Chicks just arrived

On Tuesday we got our baby chicks in, 6 in total and we will be raising them for the eggs. for the first 5 weeks they will be living inside our house where we can monitor the heat as well as for the safety of them.

Today we started doing distraction work with the dogs and them, it is important that the dogs don't eat them, so we are training every single dog on the property to NOT KILL the chicks.

Gus is with us for 2 days of hardcore remote collar recall training, one of the benefits of being one of my clients, your dog can come to us for as short as 1 day

Img_6226
All moring Jack has been threatening Joi, "if you don't stop bullying me, I'll eat your face" well..I guess Joi wont be doing any more bullying

Img_1273

Uma is extremely gentle with the baby chicks, we will work the dogs around them daily

Img_1209

Maggie is a rescue dog from down south that was adopted last week by a country club and I will be training her to chase away all of the geese on the golf course, she will need to be off leash trained. We will also be poisin proffing her since the golf course uses all kinds of chemicals we cannot have her eating anything off the ground ever.

Kids attacked in swimming pool by pack of dogs

Though it only made it a little above 60 degrees today, the sun was bright and sunny and Clover and Romy could not wait to join the dogs in the pool, the dogs have been swimming for the last month and the kids ask daily to go in. So today along with 10 dogs they went swimming, watching the 2 of them with all those dogs, running around, playing hard, jumping into the pool it was awesome to watch.

It is so wonderful to wach the human/canine dynamic with Clover and Romy, they are so helpful in evening out so many dogs

More video of how Clover and Romy stay calm in the chaos of the pool, the pool area is allowed to be like that since I can also see how dogs respond to that type of energy and learn how to learn great coping skills
